WHAT WE DO

All young people requiring accommodation at the home are subject to an Impact Risk Assessment being completed by the registered manager or responsible individual prior to their placement being agreed upon to ensure the placement is suitable.

The placement is then as far as possible planned by the registered manager/responsible individual and the young person’s social worker. In all cases, we prefer to work with young people who are/might be ready to address their needs in a safe and secure environment.

The home will be able to accept emergency admissions, however, this will be on an initial 6-week assessment basis, where the home will work closely with the young person to establish their support needs.

We will then hold a review regarding the suitability of the placement being appropriate to continue and discuss the needs of the young person and what may be required if the placement was to continue. By using the 6-week assessment, we offer some stability for the young person and also have the opportunity to assess their needs fully and therefore effectively.

All admission will be subject to:

  • A comprehensive referral and risk assessment

  • CLA documentation

  • We would also request health, educational and review reports when possible

  • A meeting/review is arranged/initiated within 72 hours of admittance in line with Quality standards regulations 2015
